United States, 25th Aug 2024 - NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR SWISS CITIZENS: Before reaching New Zealand, all qualifying travelers must complete the eTA visa waiver application process. This regulation applies to individuals from 190 nations, including Swiss nationals who are visa exempt. Starting in 2019, Swiss citizens and travelers from other visa-exempt countries will be required to obtain a New Zealand eTA. A service for traveling to New Zealand without a visa was introduced by the NZeTA in July 2019. Swiss citizens have the option to easily travel to New Zealand by obtaining the NZeTA, a digital travel authorization that can be accessed on the internet. The NZeTA allows multiple visits within a two-year period, with a maximum stay of 90 days each time. Printing the eTA is not required as it is already digitally linked to the passport of the applicant. Swiss nationals wishing to extend their stay in New Zealand beyond three months or for alternative purposes need to secure a visa. Applicants only have to pay the IVL once during this period. It allows eligible citizens to travel to New Zealand for tourism, business or transit purposes without having to worry about presenting visa documentation at an embassy.
